1. Design Phase: The design is totally personalized according to every patient’s needs and desires. At this stage, the characteristics of the eyebrows are studied and the color and technique to be used is chosen. The procedure will not begin until the design is approved.
2. Local anesthesia: For the procedure to be well tolerated, local anesthesia is used to numb the treated area. It is applied 15-20 minutes before the procedure. More numbing would be applied if needed.
3. Pigment Phase: This step consists of implanting pigment into the epidermal layer. Depending on the method it is possible to use different pigmentation tools: an electronic device called a demographer or/and a manual pen. Duration: Between 45 minutes and three hours.
4. Aftercare process: This stage is as significant as the previous ones. The treated area is like an open wound at this point, and it must receive appropriate after-care to prevent complications. Aftercare instructions will be given.
5. Touch Up Session: A second session is needed after 4 – 6 weeks to achieve the final full effect. The pigment phase and aftercare are the same as before.

It does not last for a lifetime: It is a temporary treatment, since the implanted pigments are absorbed and fade over time. The estimated duration of semi-permanent makeup ranges from 1 to 3 years. The duration will vary depending on several factors such as skin type, the chosen technique, the tone of the pigment, etc. It is recommended to schedule a follow-up appointment 12 months after the procedure, in order to follow up on the results.

It is a safe beauty treatment that requires slight before and after care to avoid and minimize side effects such as swelling, irritation and/or infections in the treated area.

Previous care included, but is not limited to:

• Avoid applying cosmetic or pharmaceutical products to the area. If you need it, you must communicate it.
• Avoid vasodilator medicines before the procedure. If you’re currently taking this type of medicine, you must let the professional know about it.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages should be avoided.
• Not having exfoliated the area recently.

It is imperative to consider the current state of the patient before the procedure. This is how the professional evaluates if the eyebrow area is in proper condition (without burns, wounds or moles) to be treated.

After care includes, but is not limited to:

• Keep the area dry. Include no sweating for at least a week.
• Avoid sun exposure for the first few weeks and use sunscreen.
• Use the ointment prescribed by the professional.
• Keep the treated area clean without applying makeup or other non-prescribed products.
• Scabbing is normal and can last for 4 -5 days. Do not remove or scratch it.
